Must Have Tech: Optimus Keyboard

Check out this beauty: The Optimus Keyboard!

Its a keyboard where the LABEL on each key is actually changeable because its a little screen. You can change your keyboard by application to be more helpful in remembering shortcuts.

What do I mean by that? I mean that when using photoshop your keyboard will look like this:

And when you are playing Quake, it will look like this:

How’s that for genius? And for those of you that use the “natural” keyboard, in their ANSWERS section, they say that someday it will be split. PLEASE BE QUICK!

Oh man, I may have to get one of these puppies just for non-typing intensive tasks…

  1. Wow! I want one of those!

I just bought a Logitech Dinovo keyboard (off eBay!) which is perhaps the ‘Cadillac’ of keyboards, but that thing looks like the ‘Lamborghini’ of keyboards!

that’s awesome1 How much do they cost? I’d get one for sure. the Photoshop keyboard alone makesd it worth it. I wonder, I guess the screen acts like a skin so you can probably make your own too. Man, to have one of those for Maya or for Final Cut ( right harry?) I could see that being incredibly usefull. It’s probably monod expensive, but then what cool thing isn’t?

Totally! I donno about price – they say that it will “It will cost less than a good mobile phone.” So, what $250 maybe? That’s expensive for a keyboard, but for some of the bigger MS keyboards with the extra buttons, etc. you can easily pay $100… This would ROCK for Maya, photoshop, dreamweaver and just about every game in existence… As long as its fully customizeable, which it seems to be!

    DROOOOOL
