What with their recent totalitarian tendencies, and their support for Iraq and now Iran, Russia is hardly an ally. I'd read about some spetznatz unit helping to ferry the WMDs into Syria, prior to the war. This is very disturbing. But these new revelations about Russia passing on intel to Saddam bode very poorly for American/Russian relations. I don't know about a new cold war, but Russia, with its amoral foreign policy, is certainly moving in a very different direction than America. This just proves that Russia is, at best, a neutral.
