Happy Easter!

Ok, so it’s a bit belated, but better late than never, right? :)

Easter was a fun filled event here at the Milo abode. It was our first official full-family holiday gathering at the new house and with over 20 people in attendance, it was a quite a blast. We continued the tradition started by my brother’s family of doing an egg hunt each year, and this time we hid almost 200 eggs, both decorated and undecorated! OK, it was the same 36 eggs hidden 5 times, but you get the idea. Here’s a few shots of the frenzy…

Egg Hunt

H’s parents are in from FL, and it’s always great to them. H’s sister and her husband were with us, as well as my brother and his family. My sister-in-law’s family and a bunch of great friends rounded out the attendance.

Emmy had a bunch of fun – she enjoyed her first Easter basket, and really got into the egg hunt. That is until she picked one up and the whole top came off revealing the perfectly shaped yolk underneath. Yeah, she wasn’t expecting that, and looked at it in horror, as if she had plucked open its head and was gazing down at its brain. The poor girl ran away yelling, “Mama! Mama! Mama!” She eyed the little oval treats quite suspiciously for the rest of the evening. In fact, this morning for breakfast, when I took out a box of eggs, she said, “Oh no, I scared eggs. No eggs Papa.”

Does it get any cuter? Well maybe, take a look at this:
