Proof Positive – Girls have Cooties

I guess my grade school suspicions were correct… Girls do have cooties! :)

Cooties has changed since I was a child in the 1950s. At that time it meant head lice.

Usually if a girl had dandruff someone would yell out “Marie has cooties!”

By the time I was growing up (70′s) – it was just a non-specific “icky” thing that one could be accused of having at any time.
